Ache Around the Lake is a 5-mile run/walk dedicated to helping fund St. Luke's Hospital's "Excellence in Care" campaign. St. Luke's Hospital is a not-for-profit acute and primary care hospital serving Polk County, NC and Upstate SC. "Excellence in Care" is a three-year program that will benefit patients, physicians, hospital staff and the community by providing surgical and patient care systems upgrades as well as additional staff training/education in our commitment to service excellence.

This 3rd annual 8K USATF-certified road race winds around the hilly lake roads encircling Lake Lanier in the Tryon, NC area. The course offers elite runners a hard-core hill challenge, and provides walkers a vigorous, heart-healthy workout. It's a great event that promotes fitness for everyone while helping our worthy not-for-profit, community hospital.

CHIP-TIMING..."The Ache" will be professionally chip-timed again this year by Set-Up, Inc. using ChampionChip® timing system. All participants will receive their chip on race morning and must return the chip immediately after crossing the finish line. Even if you get your packet before race morning, please check-in at registration to get your chip.
